During the second week of February, POMP Early Career Researchers (ECRs) were in Sommerøy to present their plans and work at the Arctic Marine Ecosystem Research Network (ARCTOS).
The ARCTOS network was first established in 2002 by several institutions across Norway and combines the expertise of north Norwegian and international institutions. The goal of ARCTOS is to achieve an integrated view of Arctic ecosystems and address scientific and management questions related to biodiversity, ecological processes, impacts of climate change, among others. This collaboration between POMP and ARCTOS was a great chance to exchange ideas and discuss new knowledge on polar ecosystems and their role in climate change mitigation.
